We partnered up with Backcountry Access to launch their TikTok in style, going viral in our first 30 days and winning over #SkiTok.

Background

BCA’s mission is to educate the consumer and save lives, not just sell products. September 2021 — We’ve been busy crafting Backcountry Access’ social presence over the last three years… and we decided to take it to the next level this summer. It was time for BCA to join TikTok  We were tasked with launching BCA’s TikTok profile in a way that resonated with BCA’s overall brand positioning but also had its own unique, TikTok-ified twist.

THE ASK

Always focusing on education first, we crafted a strategy that highlighted how education can be the key to unlocking all of the wonderful things the backcountry can offer. We wanted to find that perfect balance between stoke-inducing pow shots and legitimate avalanche situations where the right education and products were the difference between life and death. Of course, we wanted to have some fun along the way too, by jumping on TikTok trends and showcasing the fun side of Backcountry Access.

THE RESULTS

Our strategy not only launched the BCA TikTok in style, but it also did the one thing everyone is always talking about (*whispers*: we went viral). In the first 30 days of its existence, the BCA channel had over 1M video views, 147k likes, and 8k followers… all achieved organically.
